A promise to return

Nights pass blankly,
Days go unknowingly,
Things left unsaid,
One gone forever.

Day by day,
we knew each other less,
but we knew each other more,
new secrets and unravelings,
we share not but we're connected.

Droplets of life fall down to cleanse,
a promise of return broken.
Last goodbye that was never seen,
last view of her never seen.

They said she faded and past,
but she reappears to me every night.
Some say denial, others say love.
Seeds of the great tree morn as they fall,
For promise of return never to be fulfilled.

The love of her love mangled,
Some blame him for the broken promise.
Others blame faith and others blame a higher being.
No longer here, but she still comes back to me.
People say a broken promise,
When she comes back to me every night.

This is quite a strong poem, yet in a subtle way... Very nice, Gyeong. I like it. All I can say is well done.
